Comments from the students and tutor of this international school of decorative painting and faux finishes

Course Tutor's comments:

Students have taken courses with Hampstead Decorative Arts from most countries in the world. From the Americas through Europe to India China Japan and the Far East.

The classes have students of all ages. Retired students often find a new part time career enhances their retirement.

Other students are exhausted working in the city and offices and start thinking about a career change. They search for a more satisfying and creative way of life. A career change through training in specialist decoration makes this possible.

Students from school or college want to start their working life with solid skills in the applied arts and find the course gives them the craft abilities they need to start their artistic careers.

It is exciting to have such a diverse and interesting group of students in the same class.

Course Tutors Comment:

Recently one of my students Genny, who has been working professionally for some time, and I completed a big job for the President of the Royal Academy. Genny took charge of the wall effects and glazework generally throughout the house. I did some big scale marbling in white arebascato in the lounge and on plinth's for sculptures and some tortoishelling in the hall. Together we teamed up to carry out some decorative sienna marbling on a big scale up three flights of stairs and in the hallway. The client liked the work so much he asked me to carry out some paint finishes on his sculptures shown at the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy.

So as a result of the course students form teams to help each other and myself on major projects.
